The Family Day by the Lakes has had to be postponed due to the forecast of adverse cold weather and strong winds on the day. We apologise in advance for those planning to come. We will announce the revised date in the near future. Any swimmers over the age of 18 are welcome to join Glove Dippers, a membership outdoor swimming club entitling members to swim in the lake all year round during club hours.
Saturday 1st July
Join us for a Summer afternoon beside our lakes. Bring your swimmers and take a dip to cool off, or simply sit back and relax as the sun casts shadows over the parkland. A delicious barbecue will be available served by The Field Kitchen, with a paying bar offering refreshing cider sundowners.
Vegetarian option is available.
Please note: swimming is at your own risk. Children must be accompanied at all times.
These Fire and Feast events showcase a theme, a particular ingredient or one of the fantastic producers we work with.
Arrive 7pm for a welcome drink in the courtyard before finding your space at a table, with the feast being served from 8pm. Help yourself to a delicious selection of sharing food served by The Field Kitchen chefs and once you’ve finished eating, move to around the fires to enjoy the summer evening with your drinks.
Wine making across England and Wales is experiencing a resurgence, with several top wineries becoming recognised on a global scale. One of these, who we’ve teamed up with is the internationally renowned Ridgeview Wines. They produce one of the country’s top English Sparkling wines and will be available on the evening to chat about the varieties of grape they grow and how they do what they do.
Our Summer Feast will be an evening celebrating the best ingredients Summer has to offer: Asparagus, Sea Trout, Strawberries and English Sparkling Wine.
nb. Vegetarian options and special diets can be accommodated for on request, please just let us know at the time of booking. A well-stocked bar will be available through the evening and seating outside will be weather permitting. All menu items subject to seasonal and local availability.
Fire and Feast nights at The Field Kitchen showcase a theme, hero ingredient or one of their fantastic suppliers from which their chefs carefully create a delicious seasonal feast.
After arriving at 7.30pm for drinks in the courtyard, you will find your space at the table to tuck in to nibbles, with dinner being served from 8pm. Once the feast has finished, grab your drinks and head back outside to the courtyard to enjoy the atmosphere around our fire pits.
Our season of feasts begins on 21st April and showcases the best ingredients of Spring: Chargrilled Lamb; Wild Garlic; and Rhubarb.
NB: vegetarian option will be available. Please notify us at the time of booking.
We’ve heard rumours that a mysterious bunny has been running around hiding clues to a puzzle in bushes, trees and around our fields! Can you help us find them all? If you are an expert hunter and find each and every one, there will be an Easter reward.
There will be stations around our lakes with plenty of games and other activities for children to enjoy.
Food and drink will be available throughout the day from The Field Kitchen.
As the UK’s longest-running organisation for professional leaders, they are dedicated to supporting their members, encouraging entrepreneurial activity and promoting responsible business practice for the benefit of the business community and society as a whole.
Join the IoD Bath & Wiltshire for a tour around Glove Factory Studios. Drinks and canapés will be available at The Field Kitchen and you will have an opportunity to network and meet the new Chairman Guy Tullberg.
Magalleria are appearing at Glove Factory Studios as a pop-up shop on Tuesday 22nd November 2016 from 10am to 1pm.
Magalleria is an amazing shop in Bath selling a wide range of art, fashion, cultural and lifestyle magazines – international, independent, niche, deluxe, limited edition, experimental and aspirational – as well as art books and infographical posters. A slowly evolving showcase for the most talked about and must-have art, fashion, food, literature, culture and lifestyle magazines around.
Succumb to the visually more intoxicating, editorially more relevant print magazines that have now become art objects in themselves. They simply demand to be on display and, more importantly, available to buy.
Sourcing them from nearby and afar is turning into an intriguing voyage of discovery for Magalleria and they’re keen to share their discoveries. If you live locally, or if you’re visiting Bath, do drop in next week. Feel free to let them know what you’ve seen or what you’re looking for.
