Mark Ellerby Architects is an award-winning architectural design practice, delivering innovatively designed, environmentally sustainable, projects across a broad spectrum of project and building types, locally and regionally.

The practice has a particular interest in environmental issues (clients have included Natural England, Wildlife Trusts and National Trust) and historic buildings, including Grade I buildings and scheduled monuments.

Educational buildings (Nursery to Tertiary) and in particular, designing for pupils with Autism and SEN, forms a specialist and large part of the portfolio of completed projects.

The practice has a unique link with a specialist timber framing (SIP) contractor enabling a cost-effective ‘open book’ approach to design & build that combines the best of design with the most affordable and low energy construction approach. This method has been employed across a wide range of buildings.
