A Rooster Talks presentation on one company’s story of creating a self-managing workplace.
What does it take to achieve, prosper, thrive and survive in a business that is Made Without Managers?
Join us in The Club Room 9am Friday 8th September to hear from Philippa Kindon and Michele Rees-Jones, co-authors of ‘Made Without Managers’.
Brought to life through the true stories of the real people who work there, Made without Managers shares one company’s eye-opening experiences of a different way of working. Concerned that the constraints of conventional line management structures might stand in the way of exceptional innovation and unrivalled customer service, the team at Mayden decided to break free from traditional approaches to people hierarchies and take a liberating, exciting and sometimes rocky journey into the extraordinary instead.
Michele Rees-Jones and Philippa Kindon both work at Mayden and have done so in a variety of roles within the company including marketing, coaching, project management, and bid-writing. They are co/chapter authors of the Mayden book and big fans of challenging the status quo and finding new and rewarding ways to work and organise.
Michele now owns the Mayden’s internal coaching initiative after falling in love with coaching when the company offered her the opportunity to train, and she never looked back! She is now a professionally accredited business and personal coach.
Philippa’s focus is on business development, working across several areas of the business including coaching, strategy, innovation and market discovery.
Breakfast platters, teas and coffees on arrival.
This is a free event however you will need to book to secure a place.
