The show by photographer Fran McColl explores a community of the bold braving the winter waters of the UK’s lakes and rivers. All captured with a medium-format film camera.

Historically, wild swimming was believed to have healing powers and, in the last decade, there has been an enormous resurgence of interest. Alongside the sheer joy and exhilaration, open water swimming is known to benefit mental health and general wellbeing.
