Food has always been important to us. It provides the chance to pause, nourish body and soul, and connect with like-minded folk.

We believe the best work doesn’t always happen at your desk. Inspiration often strikes during a chance chat in the courtyard, a conversation over lunch, or on a dog walk with a takeaway coffee in hand.

Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen sits beside a fire pit, overlooking lakes and fields, providing a space to fuel your creativity, catch up with clients, nourish the family or enjoy downtime with friends.

The perfect hangout for members and their guests, swimmers, cyclists, families and dog lovers. A place to come together and connect, and the perfect stop-off for those exploring nearby National Trust properties, The Courts Gardens and Great Chalfield Manor.

Offering delicious drinks, barista coffees and deli-style lunches, order to go service with no need to book.

Seasonal hot and cold specials, served alongside colourful, healthy salads, packed with flavour. Dine indoors or on the gravel terrace, overlooking open fields and mirror pond lakes.

Our unique spaces are perfect for hosting business or private events. You may choose the Club Room, or make it al-fresco and hire the courtyard, terrace or parkland. Wherever you decide, Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen will be on hand and offer superb catering, ideal for any occasion.

With December a couple of days away, our new melt has a little festive flair ~ Roast pork, sage and onion stuffing, cranberry and smoked cheddar sourdough melt. Yum!
We have a little retail corner, stocking loafs of @panobakehouse sourdough, @southviewenterprise eggs and apple juice, and the best coffee beans around @colourscoffeeco. Handy to pick up in the village when the shops are harder to reach, and always delicious 🥚🫘
We know that Holt is like a little island and hard to get to with the flooding today. But for those of you that can reach us safely, we are open as normal and have plenty of comforting snacks on offer. This delicious apple crumble danish baked for us by @panobakehouse is always a firm favourite.
It’s wild and windy out today but we will be open as normal from 10am. Keep cosy and let the stormy weather be an excuse for a warming coffee!
A drizzly Saturday calls for a good lunch! Here’s our fire cracker beef and vermicelli noodle spring roll. Sure to satisfy the tastebuds.

A couple of weeks ago we hosted our Autumn Fire & Feast 🍂 🔥 🍽️ 

We served up candy beetroot, goats cheese & thyme pressed terrine with a puy lentil, roast celeriac & hazelnut salad, followed by beef cheek, mushroom, lardon and shallot winter stew, with creamed potato & celeriac, and finished off with a peanut butter parfait, chocolate ganache. 

Thank you so much to all who shared the evening with us. 

Our next cosy three-course event will be the winter feast on Friday the 14th of February. A perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day!
