We are delighted to have been awarded the Business Excellence Award 2018 by Bradford on Avon Business. The award recognises workspace Glove Factory Studios’ role in the growth and support of micro-businesses in the local area.
Set up in 2010, Glove Factory Studios is now an established SME incubator and home to over 50 companies, around 160 people, primarily from the creative, communications and tech sectors. Based in Holt Village on the outskirts of Bradford of Avon, our members benefit from a supportive community, flexible studio spaces and an onsite café, The Field Kitchen.
When companies outgrow their Glove Factory home, they are encouraged to move into larger workspaces in the centre of Bradford on Avon, ensuring the area continues to benefit from the entrepreneurial talent and the inflow of successful businesses.
Tom Marshall, general manager: “It is great to be recognised in this way and further supports the role we aim to play in contributing to the wider business community with the very popular Rooster talks, our free monthly business networking event.”
Glove Factory director, Nick Kirkham: “We’re grateful to BOA Business for recognising our efforts to bring vibrant businesses and employment opportunities to the area. Our vision has always been to create innovative and inspiring workspaces within our rural location, and the support and encouragement we’ve received from the Bradford Business community along the way have been a key element in our success.”
BOA Business Chair, Andrew Eberlin: “We are delighted to award the Business Excellence Award 2018 to Glove Factory Studios. A key part of BOA Business’s role is to build and support a vibrant, resilient and entrepreneurial culture and community in the town and local area. Glove Factory Studios plays an important role in attracting talent to the region, with a number of the growing businesses choosing to move into the town.”
