From design creativity all the way to enhanced production processes, the multidisciplinary creative team at Mette has experienced a year of growth and development over this last year.
Following a substantial increase in business across the UK and Ireland, the Mette studio, which was established in Northern Ireland in 2012, has expanded into offices here at Glove Factory Studios and a makespace next-door at the Old Tannery in Wiltshire.
In addition to identity and product design, Mette develops imaginative installations, progressive pop ups, vibrant interiors and social environments that resonate with people emotionally, exploring contemporary and future concepts that stimulate conversation and imaginations.
Mette are also the creators behind the brands Chop & Change, a customisable culinary workspace system, and Pop Up Cookspace, which offers design-led minikitchens and custom design for food and cookery campaigns.
Caroline Santos is the creative lead for Mette’s concepts and commissions.
“The past couple of years have been hard work but we have made tremendous progress,” said Caroline, whose bank of local builders, joiners, seamstresses and others who work on Mette’s projects and subbrands has also grown.
“I am thrilled with the studio, and the addition of a makespace has given us the prototyping, assembling and storage capacity we needed, as well as the opportunity to use the space for photography shoots to showcase our creations”.
