This event will help raise funds for WWF’s Brave The Chill December challenge
Are you a Glove Dipper member, Glove Factory Studios member, or an experienced cold water swimmer looking to enjoy a Sunday morning dip with like-minded cold-water swimming enthusiasts, followed by an instructor led warm-up session, and then a delicious brunch in an idyllic rural setting?
Then this event is for you!
Helen Webster and Clare Traxler join us in the Club Room for a pre-dip briefing before moving to the lakes for an exhilarating dip, followed by a warm-up session led by Kay Skinner, finished off with a rewarding brunch prepared by our onsite café Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen.
Numbers are limited so be sure to grab your ticket before they go.
Your ticket includes welcome teas and coffees, pre-dip talk, the dip itself, a warm-up session, and brunch by Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen.
You will need layers of warm dry clothing post dip.
There are changing rooms and shower onsite.
Helen Webster is an STA Level 2 open-water swimming coach and RLSS open-water lifeguard and specialises in helping people build confidence and find enjoyment in outdoor swimming. As editor of 220 Triathlon Magazine, Helen interviewed many of the UK’s leading scientists researching cold water swimming.
Clare Traxler who can be found in studio 35 in the courtyard at Glove Factory Studios (where she runs her business, Board providing Corporate Governance Services); is also an STA qualified Swimming Teacher and Outdoor Swimming Coach and frequently helps new Glove Dippers members with an introduction to get the most out of a dip in the lake.
Kay Skinner is an APPI (Australian Physio-Therapy and Pilates Institute) certified instructor and follows a method of training that ensures people exercise with the correct alignment in a safe and injury preventing environment. Her natural bubbly personality means classes are full of life, energy and you are guaranteed to have fun and have a giggle. You will often find her out in the great outdoors on a run or a cold water dip. She always makes the most of any opportunity to do any of her classes outside (when the English weather permits).
