Spring 2019 Events

Spring events at Glove Factory Studios & The Field Kitchen

Come and join our spring events for families, crafty types and business brains.

Easter Egg Hunt – Mon 22 April

For some family fun on Easter Monday head over to The Field Kitchen for this year’s Easter Egg Hunt around the courtyard, lakes and fields.

As always, young explorers, with hunt card in hand, are invited to search our courtyard, lakeside and fields for clues to unlock their easter egg reward. There’ll be games and activities for kids of all ages and The Field Kitchen will be rustling up snacks and drinks for explorers of all ages.

Heritage Makers at the Glove – Sat 27 April

We’ve invited local crafters along for a Heritage Makers at the Glove event.

Spoon carving, green woodworking, forging, stonemasonry and pottery will all be on display with unique handmade items for sale. All made using the traditional techniques and tools practised for centuries.

You’ll have the rare opportunity to see a blacksmith at work (take a peek at this glorious video of The Nowhere Forge in action) and stone carving in action with Jem Hobbs.

Potter Jane Scott will be leading a morning workshop in The Engine Room and the terrace will be home to traditional wood furniture carvers and spoon makers.

Rooster Talks

Rooster Talks take place on the first Friday of every month, 8 – 9am, and is an opportunity to listen to inspiring speakers while enjoying free coffee and croissants in The Field Kitchen.

Next up is performance coach and ultra-elite runner Anna-Marie Watson who’ll be making the connection between the athletic mindset and peak business performance

For May’s Rooster Talk, Robin Worrall joins to share insights on building a brand and telling an authentic brand story. And in June, we’ll be exploring the world of creative AI, voice and online bots with Tiny Giant.
